It’s time to Pate!!

Seafood Pate recipe

On the day of writing this post it's a rainy end of summer day, and in typical British fashion there's plenty of people mooching around Cowes High trying to hold onto the last dregs of summer, still wearing their sandals, yet can't quite forgo the brolly or rain mac.

It’s this sort of day where you fancy something light, as it’s still rather warm and close outside, yet are in need of something comforting.

One of my most popular recipes I tell customers about in the shop is my Seafood Pate Pasta recipe. Super quick and easy to make, super yummy and makes an impressive dish to feed a crowd.

What you’ll need:

  1. A seafood pate of your choice. Either Crab, Lobster, Prawn or Smoked Salmon.

  1. One large red onion or x3 banana shallots

  2. Linguine Pasta

  3. Double cream or creme fraiche

  4. Chives

  5. Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Finely chop your onions and soften down in a pan with a little butter

  2. While doing this cook your pasta

  3. Lower your heat and add in the seafood pate of your choice

  4. Stir in the cream and reduce down

  5. Add salt and pepper to taste

  6. Fold in your cooked pasta to the mixture

  7. Top with roughly chopped chives to serve

  8. Enjoy!!

These seafood pates are described by their french labels as a butter. A silky consistency that is perfect for this kind of dish.

I would recommend one 100g jar for two people, then increase according to accommodate.

I would love to see your photos of this dish!! Which flavour pate would you go for? Crab, Lobster, Prawn or Smoked Salmon
